A B-15A flight jacket from the 1940s, during World War II, exuding an overwhelming presence. It symbolizes the dawn of military flight jackets and is a historic model that can be considered the origin of the later B-15 series and the MA-1.

While the original specification included a shearling collar, this particular piece has been custom-modified with a ribbed collar. This modification is a practical field modification also seen on the B-15C and D models, believed to have been made to avoid interference with helmets and equipment. In other words, this jacket embodies a genuine change born from actual field conditions.

The front features a zipper and leather pull tab that strongly evoke the atmosphere of the era, and the texture of the leather—which has developed a rich patina over time—is exceptionally appealing. The triangular leather patch on the chest and the USAAF stencil on the sleeve powerfully attest to this jacket’s military origins.

The interior features a wool pile lining, offering not only excellent cold-weather protection but also allowing you to fully experience the classic texture characteristic of this era. Although the white tag remains, it is difficult to read.

The stencil reads "ARMY AIR FORCE," indicating that this is a pre-1947 item from the WWII era. Based on actual measurements, the size is approximately 38–40.It falls within the "golden size" range that is easy to wear even today, and the silhouette is excellent. The item is used. Overall, there are signs of wear, aging, minor stains, and damage to the ribbing, but all of these elements contribute to the piece’s history and authenticity. The ribbing may have been replaced. This is not merely a vintage item, but a "garment that was actually used and has survived." This sense of weight and history cannot be found anywhere else.
