We have a very rare Tiger Stripe in stock! This is an introduction of the first model shirt classified as early among the Tiger Stripe camouflage used by the South Vietnamese Marine Corps.

The Tiger Stripe was originally based on the TAP 47/52 Lizard camouflage pattern used by the French Army, but it is assumed that it was developed by a military organization in the South after the withdrawal of the French at that time. The Tiger Stripe shirts are very rare and only a few of them are known to exist. It is also possible that the shirt was privately procured. The pen pockets may be American due to the shape of the Korean War era, but it is unknown if they fit the age of the shirt. The fabric is definitely VNMC 1st Model, but there are many unknowns.

The shirt is a thin fabric poplin material. The pattern has the characteristics of the various tiger stripes that appeared later and shows very nice detailing. A great historical piece of tiger stripes. The button on the breast pocket is chipped and another button is attached to the lower front button, but otherwise it is in excellent condition with color remaining. It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
