An authentic U.S. military OG-107 cotton satin utility shirt from the Vietnam War era, contracted in 1971.

This shirt is in excellent condition, having likely been washed only a few times.

The OG-107 utility shirt is one of the iconic items of military wear, widely adopted by the U.S. military from the 1950s through the 1970s. “OG” stands for “Olive Green,” and “107” refers to the olive green color code adopted by the U.S. military. From the post-Korean War era through the Vietnam War, it was used as everyday workwear and base uniforms for soldiers.

Particularly during the Vietnam War era, it became a symbol of U.S. military attire, alongside the jungle fatigues designed for tropical regions. This specific item is a late-model cotton satin utility shirt from the 1971 contract.

The contract label on the inside bears the marking “DSA 100-71-C-1193,” and the manufacturer is J. H. RUTTER-REX MFG. CO., INC. The size is 15 1/2 × 33.It is made of cotton satin, one of the OG-107’s greatest appeals.

It features the substantial feel and uniquely soft texture characteristic of 100% cotton.

Another unique charm of this fabric is how its appearance gradually changes with repeated washing and wear, allowing the olive green hue to fade beautifully. While this particular piece shows some fading, the original olive green color remains largely intact overall. The front features flap chest pockets on both sides.

The practical, no-frills design of the U.S. military is evident throughout, from the clean, straight silhouette and the six-button front closure to the adjustment buttons at the cuffs. It is precisely because of this simple design, free of flashy embellishments, that you can fully appreciate the texture of the cotton satin, the quality of the stitching, and the authentic silhouette of the era. Above all, the excellent condition of this piece is worth noting.

Because the OG-107 utility shirt was used extensively over a long period, many surviving examples show significant fading, fabric wear, and repairs.

Among them, a piece like this one—which appears to have been washed only a few times—is exceptionally appealing as a vintage item.

The fabric still retains its substantial texture, and the details—such as the pockets, collar, and cuffs—are beautifully preserved.

Another major appeal is that, as you wear it over time, you’ll be able to enjoy the unique patina that develops just for you.

The OG-107 not only holds historical value as an authentic U.S. military item from the Vietnam War era but is also exceptionally well-crafted as everyday wear.

It blends naturally with a wide range of styles, including denim, chinos, and military trousers.

With a clearly documented production year of 1971, excellent condition, and the wonderful texture unique to cotton satin,

Whether you’re new to the OG-107 or a collector looking for a well-preserved piece, this is a jacket we confidently recommend.

This is a vintage, pre-owned item.

It’s in very good condition, having likely been washed only a few times.

While there is some overall fading, the texture of the cotton satin fabric remains intact, and it is in excellent condition considering its age.

There are minor wrinkles and signs of wear from use and storage.

As this is a used item, returns are not accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
