This boonie hat is made from tiger stripe fabric, one of the camouflage patterns that symbolizes the Vietnam War. Although it was sewn after the war, the fabric used is authentic.

The fabric used is the TO78 pattern, seen in the later stages of the Vietnam War. It features the late-model Tiger Stripe design with its distinctive black stripes running through broad, flowing brown and green color blocks, a pattern that remains highly popular today. It is a derivative of the Silver Tiger pattern.
