This item is the actual 4th modelERDL camouflage (leaf pattern) version contracted in 1968 , and is a masterpiece designed for the war zone, made of lightweight and highly breathable ripstop cotton.

What makes this piece special is the locally made "Sentry Dog" unit patch, presumably made in Vietnam, sewn on the right shoulder. This unit was a special unit that performed night security and patrol duties with military dogs (mostly German Shepherds) and was responsible for important base security missions during the Vietnam War. The patch is thought to belong to a soldier who belonged to one of the Sentry Dog operational units, such as the 18th Military Police Brigade (18th Military Police Brigade).

The "U.S. ARMY" tape on the left chest and the contract label on the back remain, and the DSA number "DSA-100-68-C-0783" confirms that this is a 1968 contract item. The size is marked SMALL REGULAR (chest 33-37 inches, height 67-71 inches).

There is a lot of overall damage due to age and actual use. Tears, small holes, loose stitches, dirt, etc. can be seen, but that is the proof that this jacket is the "real thing" that has actually been used in the field.
