These ERDL camouflage pants are crafted from non-rip fabric—a hallmark of the Vietnam War era—but feature a cut reminiscent of the OG-107 Utility Trousers, commonly known as “Baker pants,” rather than the standard tropical combat trousers.
Featuring a large, vertically elongated patch pocket on the front and a flap pocket on the back, these trousers have a distinct look that clearly sets them apart from standard ERDL trousers with cargo pockets. In addition to the striking presence of the ERDL camouflage pattern itself, these unique specifications lend the pants a bold, distinctive character.
The fabric is an early-type non-ripstop material without the grid-like ripstop weave. The classic ERDL pattern—a complex interweaving of green, light green, brown, and black—remains clearly visible, and the color retention is excellent.
Another noteworthy feature is the irregularity in the print—resembling color fading—visible around the front. Rather than damage from later years, this appears to be an error originating from the fabric’s printing process, creating a very interesting character. The inside of the waistband features a separate piece of off-white fabric, and the front has a button-and-zipper fly. The zipper is stamped with “TALON.” The back waistband also features a button-adjustable strap, making the attention to detail truly impressive.
Above all, considering its age, the excellent condition of the fabric is a major draw. It’s in virtually unused condition, and the camouflage colors remain vivid. This is a pair you’ll want to wear regularly, enjoying the process as the non-rip fabric softens and develops the distinctive ERDL fade.
I’d highly recommend this unique “ERDL × OG-107 Utility Cut” even to those who already own standard ERDL trousers. It offers a highly polished silhouette for enjoying Vietnam War-era camouflage fabric as fashion, making it an intriguing piece whether for a collection or for everyday use.
Condition: Virtually unused. Both the fabric and the camouflage color retention are in excellent condition. Around the front, there are some areas with print errors or color fading that appear to be the result of the manufacturing process from that era.
