We are pleased to announce that the actual late model M-65 Parka (a.k.a. "Fishtail"), a timeless masterpiece of the U.S. military, has arrived in almost unused, top-quality condition. This item has both the body shell and hood in the same lot and material, both of which are in mint condition, equivalent to unused or tried-on. In addition, an actual mid to late lot liner is included. The liner is used. The zipper is a rare resin piece.

The M-65 parka is a field parka of the U.S. Army designed for operation in extremely cold regions, and was first issued in 1965 and is known as the successor model of the M-51. This model is a late model with the zipper changed from brass to resin, and was manufactured only for a certain period of time in the mid to late 1980's. It is a rare item. It is made by Gibraltar Industries, Inc. as indicated on the tag, and the robust sewing and functional beauty unique to U.S. military government-issued goods shine through.

The parka's fishtail shape, drawcord waist and hem, double-hinged front, and Velcro cuffs are all details that can only be found in extremely cold climates. In addition, it comes with a detachable fur hood and a quilted liner that can be attached to the inside of the hood, making it possible to layer for three seasons.

Note that only the liner is an actual used item from a different lot, but there is a lot of mixing and matching at the time of issue, which is a rather natural configuration for an actual combat deployment item. Although the liner has some signs of use, there are no functional problems, and it is perfect for both practical use and collection.
