The aftermath of the Vietnam War remains strong in the 1970s. It is estimated that soldiers and pilots at that time procured these tailor-made tie tiger stripe pants privately. These pants are large in size and very rare.
These are genuine local-made pants with the "RAJA'S UBOL" Thai tailor's label sewn into them. The fabric is relatively thick and firm, and has a robustness that assumes field use. The pattern is a copy of the Japanese Silver Tiger pattern that was widely used during the Vietnam War, and while the print is a little sweetly molded, the contrast between the deep black and green gives off a unique atmosphere that could only have been created by local craftsmen of the time.
What is even more notable is that it is a rare type with pockets on the shins. This is a detail not seen in conventional tiger stripe pants, and reflects the freedom and practical ingenuity typical of tailor-made pants. Including the pockets with flaps on the back and the use of zippers, these pants are full of custom touches not found in the original government-issued items.
The condition is unused and extremely good. There is no wear or fading as with items returned from the battlefield, and the vivid colors and fabrics remain firmly intact as they were in their original state. This piece has high value both for practical use and as a collectible piece. This is a pre-owned item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
