Recon Team, a Special Forces team that was active in the shadows during the Vietnam War, and was part of the MACV SOG (Military Assistance Command, Vietnam - Studies and Observations Group ). This is a first generation RT ALABAMA team patch designed by Carl Franquet, a member of the team in September 1970. There is a machine embroidered type made in Taiwan, but this is a high quality hand-embroidered type made in South Vietnam.This is a very valuable and historically very important patch from the Vietnam War.
